Welcome — I'm Laura.
My journey with yoga didn’t start in a studio or with a grand intention. For years, I dipped in and out of the occasional class, curious but never fully committed. It wasn’t until I found myself feeling overwhelmed and stretched thin while working a high-pressure job in Africa that I knew something had to shift. I was craving stillness, clarity, and a sense of connection I couldn’t quite name.
On a bit of a whim — or maybe instinct — I signed up for a Sivananda yoga ashram immersion week. I didn’t know what to expect. I was a complete beginner, unsure if I even belonged there. But something about the rhythm of the days, the simplicity, the space to breathe — it landed. That experience stayed with me long after I left.
From there, yoga slowly became a steady thread in my life. Through over a decade of practice, it’s helped me come back to myself again and again — through career changes, personal growth, and life’s inevitable ups and downs. In 2016, I felt ready to go deeper, and completed my first Vinyasa teacher training with Yoga to the People in San Francisco. What started as a quiet curiosity became something much more — a path, a practice, and eventually, a calling.
With warmth and gratitude,
Laura
